Age Requirements

Students ages 8 – 29 are invited to apply. Though some exceptions will be made on a case by case basis. Students under the age of 12 must have a parent present for all VVSA activities. Activities will be scheduled daily between 10am – 8pm EST and participants must be potentially available for private lessons and to participate in VVSA group lectures and masterclasses during these hours.

Time Zone

VVSA headquartets are in NYC and activities will generally take place between 10am to 8pm EST.

International Students and Languages

International students are welcome to apply and we will try our best to accommodate their time zone. All Academy activities take place in English but private lessons can also be offered in German.

Audition Repertoire Requirements

Violinists

Please submit a video via youtube link (10 mins or less) of a movement of a concerto or a sonata (with piano part preferred but not required), or one piece of solo violin repertoire (Bach, Paganini, Ysaye, etc).

Pianists

Please submit a video via youtube link (10 mins or less) of a movement of a concerto or solo repertoire.

Technology Requirements

° High-speed internet connection

° Access to a webcam and microphone (external mic preferred but not necessary)

° FaceTime application for video streaming (Skype also acceptable)

° Zoom application for video conferencing

Tuition and Fees

No application fee

Tuition – $450 per student includes full curriculum

Note for admitted students: $450 non-refundable tuition fee due August 28, 2020.

For European applicants: Inter-european bank transfers possible
